The Omega SpeedMaster Automatic combines the heritage of the legendary Moonwatch with the convenience of a self-winding movement.
Introduced in 1988, the SpeedMaster Automatic (also known as the SpeedMaster Reduced) was designed as a practical, everyday alternative to the classic manual chronograph that accompanied the first astronauts on the Moon.
The SpeedMaster Automatic features a 39 mm stainless steel case with an asymmetrical shape to protect the pushers and crown, a black aluminium bezel with a tachymeter scale, and a domed Hesalite crystal. The dial is black with white index markers and hands, and three subdials for the chronograph functions.
